2025 Beginner Junior Camp

2025 Denver Curling Beginner Junior Camp

June 16-18, 2025 at Denver Curling Club
Camp Hours 8:00-12:00 each day (12 instructional hours)
Lead instructors ANN SWISSHELM & MIKE MOORE (USCA National Junior Team Coaches)
$50 per athlete (max 32 athletes)
Beginner Curlers Camp: Participants should be able to throw full size (42 pound) rocks down the full sheet and have completed some instructional program at their home club. (this registration)
Experienced Curlers Camp Registration: Ages 10 and up. Participants should have participated in curling for at least two seasons. (for example, participant has participated in the Denver junior program in 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. $100 per athlete
A follow up questionaire will be sent to all participants to understand skill level and curling goals.

2025 Denver Curling Experienced Junior Camp

June 16-18, 2025 at Denver Curling Club
Camp Hours 12:00-5:00 each day (15 hours of instruction)
Lead instructors ANN SWISSHELM & MIKE MOORE (USCA National Junior Team Coaches)
$100 per athlete (max 32 athletes)
Experienced Curlers Camp: Ages 10 and up. Participants should have participated in curling for at least two seasons. (for example, participant has participated in the Denver junior program in 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 (THIS REGISTRATION)

Details

Calling all DCC curlers with 5 years of experience or less! Join other 5U curlers in a mini-camp that will provide coaching from DCC’s experienced members to kick your season off to a good start. Each coaching session will last two hours and include both on-ice and warm room instruction.

Topics will include:

How to Practice
Team Dynamics & Communication
Basic Strategies at the 5U Level
Delivery, Release, and Sweeping

All 5U curlers are welcome, whether you are looking to travel and compete for nationals or if you’re just looking to get better and improve your league play.

Format:

Four 2-hour coaching sessions and one game night.

Dates:

Monday, September 14th @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Coaching)
Wednesday, September 16th @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Coaching)
Monday, September 21nd @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Coaching)
Wednesday, September 23rd @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Coaching)
Monday, September 28th @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Game Night)

DCC Members - $75 per person

Non-Members - $125 per person

Current DCC members beginning at 8pm on Thursday, August 20th
Non-DCC members beginning at 8pm on Tuesday, September 1st (if space available)
