5-Under eligibility notes:

  • Firstly, '5' means 5 years of curling experience (or less)
Secondly, 'Years Experience' does not mean 'years' from the 'date' you started curling....'years' is based on hitting a minimum number of games within a curling season, and the number is 10 games within a curling season (fun spiels, competitive tournaments or league games (tho I won't count mixed doubles))
  • We are currently in the middle 2019-20 curling season and last year was the 2018-19 season.
  • If you curled 10 or more games in ANY curling season, that counts for 1 year of experience.
  • If you will curl 10 or more games in this 2019-20 season (before, during or after this year's 5-Under)....you will have 1-year experience for this year
    • example clarification....
If you started in March of 2019 and played 10 games prior to the end of the 2018-19 season....you already have 1-year experience under your belt. Then, if have/will play 10 in this 2019-20 season, you will be listing yourself as 2 years experience for this year's spiel. You can apply this to ALL previous seasons you have played.

Please contact me with specific examples/questions for further clarifications.
