Upcoming events

Calling all DCC curlers with 5 years of experience or less! Join other 5U curlers in a mini-camp that will provide coaching from DCC’s experienced members to kick your season off to a good start. Each coaching session will last two hours and include both on-ice and warm room instruction. 

Topics will include: 

• How to Practice
• Team Dynamics & Communication
• Basic Strategies at the 5U Level
• Delivery, Release, and Sweeping

All 5U curlers are welcome, whether you are looking to travel and compete for nationals or if you’re just looking to get better and improve your league play. 

Format: 

Four 2-hour coaching sessions and one game night.

Dates: 

• Monday, September 14th @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Coaching)
• Wednesday, September 16th @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Coaching)
• Monday, September 21nd @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Coaching)
• Wednesday, September 23rd @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Coaching)
• Monday, September 28th @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Game Night)

Capacity: 

32 individuals 

Price: 

DCC Members - $75 per person

Non-Members - $125 per person

Registration:

• Current DCC members beginning at 8pm on Thursday, August 20th
• Non-DCC members beginning at 8pm on Tuesday, September 1st (if space available)

Friday, November 6th - Sunday, November 8th

This years theme will be Nostalgic games (think Twister, Operation, RocM SocM Robots). Each team can choose a name to match the theme... or one will be selected for you.

• Open to all Colorado Curlers 60 years and over
• Modified mixed format (must include at least one person 
of the opposite gender)
• Enter as a team, couple, or individual
• 16 team limit, 4 events, 3 game guarantee. Prizes for 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th event. 
• Cost is $440 per team or $110 per individual
• Will be playing all day Friday (remember we love later starts and earlier nights!). If you can’t make Friday day games, please work on a 5th ahead of time to fill in your team.
