Middle/High School Junior Curling - Junior Beginners
Interested in curling with us next fall or winter?
Denver Curling will be offering a weekend JUNIOR BEGINNER class just for you. No experience necessary - we will introduce, instruct, and coach you through drills, practices, strategy, and game play. Students will be grouped based on a combination of age and ability. Small groups of 5-6 students per instructor
Fall Session Information
Our Fall Junior Curling sessions will take place on Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM or 10:00 AM, running from late September through December.
- Final session dates will be confirmed in June
- Full fall session registration will open in August
Fall Registration Process
To create a fair and organized registration
- Volunteer Coaches Registration Window
Priority access for families volunteering as coaches - Returning Curlers Registration Window
Open to athletes who participated in previous seasons - New Curlers Registration Window
Open to athletes new to the program
If capacity is reached during any registration phase:
- Volunteer families will be prioritized
- Remaining spots will be filled through a randomized lottery system
* Juniors will need:

- Comfortable, warm clothes to wear on the ice
- Clean pair of athletic shoes (street shoes not permitted on the ice)
- Gloves/Mittens
- Helmet or approved head protection gear is strongly advised. Under 13 must wear a helmet.
- Water Bottle
- Signed waiver for participation
Junior Beginners Program
Grades 6-12. (Students below grade 6 may move up to this group based on skill level). If you have never curled before, start with this class. If you are coming back after a break or have been part of another curling club, you may want to move into ATP (see below). Either way, we will help get you ready for play!
Advanced Training Program (ATP)
Are you looking for an opportunity to play in leagues? Do you love curling and want to play in college or in bonspiels? This program is for you and designed for Juniors who have the desire to further their training from the introductory sessions.
Requirements:
- Completion of at least one session of our junior program or have been a junior curler at another curling club
- Have met with one or more coaches of the DCC Junior Coaching Team
